Riviera ARC - About us

About RARC Riviera Amateur Radio Club

The Riviera Amateur Radio Club was founded in January 2012 in Torbay, Devon, England.

The club meets on the first and third Thursdays of each month at the Precinct Centre in St Marychurch, Torquay. We are active on the air and encourage those newer to the hobby to become involved. We operate the club callsign MX0RIV at club meetings and also out and about when the weather allows. We also run special event stations from time to time.

Visitors are made welcome at meetings whether new to the hobby or not. We have a wide range of interests and experience among members. Some of us new to the hobby, some are old hands but we always welcome an influx of new thoughts & ideas.

Riviera ARC has registered assessors and an exam centre and we run training courses from time to time subject to demand.

Membership is open to those who share the aims of the club. If you’d like to know more, either come along to a meeting or see the Membership page for more information.
